Bauchi poly begins degree programs matriculates 240 studentsThe Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, in collaboration with the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has matriculated 240 students as it begins running degree programs.
The polytechnic Rector, Sanusi Gumau, who spoke during the ceremony, expressed his excitement in the matriculation, describing it as historic, as it is the first of its kind in the 42 years of existence of the institution. He further disclosed that the 240 students were admitted in its Schools of Engineering Technology and Environmental Technology.
According to Sanusi, the polytechnic received approval to run degree programs in engineering following the submissions of the resource verification team from the National Universities Commission (NUC) that visited the institution.
He thanked the management of the ATBU and assured them that the polytechnic will fulfill its own part of the bargain.
